Guidance Notes: May 2021

These guidelines are issued by the Press Council of South Africa to assist newsrooms and should be read in conjunction with the Code of Ethics and Conduct for South African print and online media and any other General Code of Ethics, whether developed by media houses, media associations or regulators.

 

Gender equality is an integral part of freedom of expression as all gender categories have the right to be heard and seen in the public sphere as fully- fledged citizens participating in a democratic society
